QBI Deduction

Also known as: Section 199A · Qualified Business Income Deduction

What it is

A deduction of up to 20% of qualified business income for pass-through business owners (sole props, LLCs, S-corps, partnerships).

What it really means

The single most valuable line on a small-business tax return most owners underuse. Phase-outs and specified service business rules make it dense — worth the CPA hour.
